Eric is a Kinesiology student at San Jose State University with an emphasis in being an Exercise and Fitness Specialist. He is in his last semester of college and played football for the Spartans for five years. Eric is well versed in many training styles from his experiences in the SJSU football program. He also competed in Olympic lifting for various weightlifting clubs in the bay area. He is interning at Crossfit Moxie to gain a firsthand understanding of crossfit training and programming. Eric has lived an active lifestyle his whole life and enjoys many types of physical activity.
Eric excelled at all forms of physical activity as a child. Eric received a black belt in Hapkido at age 12 and as a high school football player, Eric reigned supreme in the city of San Francisco for four years. After becoming proficient in the clean and jerk and snatch, Eric competed in Olympic lifting as a ringer for local weightlifting clubs. Eric walked onto the San Jose State football program in 2006 and just finished his last season playing for the awe inspiring Spartans. It was at SJSU where Eric met the infinite wisdom of Super-Coach Ben Cobian. He will graduate in May 2010 if he gets a good grade on his internship. Now Eric looks to conquer the world of Crossfit.
Not introducing yourself to Eric, or not taking advantage of his knowledge is reason for burpees, so make sure you say hi when you see him around the box.
