Our coaches are just that, COACHES. We are set apart by the fact that we are coaches by profession, and dedicate our lives to our athletes. At CrossFit Moxie that is exactly what you should expect: dedicated people who care about nothing other than educating, motivating, and caring about YOU.
As coaches for San Jose State University Division 1 Athletics, we first brought CrossFit to our programs and have seen, and are continuing to see amazing results! After benefiting our athletes, we realized the importance to bring general health and fitness through hard work to the masses. That is why we decided to open CrossFit Moxie.

DREW COFFIN
Drew has been addicted to crossfit for about a year and a half now. After the five
years he spent in the Navy as an aviation electrician he began to look for something
that would get him back into the shape he was once in in high school. The navy had
given him a lot of strength, from bench pressing and curls every day, but the cardio
and stamina were nowhere to be found. Also, a lower back injury sustained while in
had kept him from doing many menial activities. After completing his first crossfit
workout and being completely ruined, he was hooked, and has seen his lower back
injury almost completely go away. Since that fateful day he has embraced crossfit
entirely and completed his Crossfit level 1 certification. He is attending De Anza
community College and is looking to transfer to San Jose State for his Bachelor
degree in business. The coaching he does at Moxie has allowed him to explore
his love for teaching and has also helped to make him a much better crossfiter.
He enjoys the competitive atmosphere that is present every time he walks into a
crossfit gym and loves the support and camaraderie that can usually only be found
in team sports.
“The only good race pace is suicide pace, and today looks like a good day to die.”

TINA MICHELMORE
Tina Michelmore’s passion for CrossFit began in May 2009 when her husband, Chris, finally convinced her to try it out in their humble home garage gym, and she was immediately hooked. Since then, Tina has been training hard alongside other Moxie fire-breathers and is constantly looking for new ways to challenge her physically. In June 2010, Tina became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, which helped further fuel her passion for the sport of fitness. She also had the opportunity to compete with other talented members of Moxie’s team at the 2010 Southwest Regional Competition and is looking forward to representing Moxie in future competitions.
Tina grew up in the East Bay where she played competitive Class 1 soccer for over 10 years. During this time, she became respected as a dedicated team player and leader, and was chosen by teammates to lead them as captain of both her club and varsity teams. After graduation, Tina attended college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she was constantly trying out new sports and activities, including a variety of intramural sports and even rock climbing, but her true passion was always soccer. In 2005, Tina graduated from Cal Poly with a BS in Public Accounting and a minor in Psychology.
In addition to helping out at Moxie, Tina is a full-time Certified Public Accountant for Burr, Pilger & Mayer, Inc.
KEVIN MICHELMORE

Kevin is constantly seeking new ways to challenge himself and his physical abilities. This is what brought him to CrossFit, and with the best head coaches around, CrossFit Moxie proved to be the ultimate grounds to achieve greatness. Kevin does not only strive to better himself, but focuses on bettering others.
As a team member of CrossFit Moxie, Kevin participated in the 2010 CrossFit Southwest Regional competition alongside other Moxie-born firebreathers. The spirit of the CrossFit competition has inspired him to train even harder for next year.
Kevin was an NCAA division one swimmer and Team Captain for Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he graduated June of 2008 with a BS in Architectural Engineering.
