Moxie, we sent out an important email yesterday, in case you missed it…please read below! Also, Craig from Diablo is planning to be here most of the day on Wed to meet people and answer any questions
We are very excited to announce that CrossFit Moxie has joined the Diablo CrossFit family as of January 1st, 2017. The combination of affiliates will yield benefits for both communities including more places to CrossFit for our East Bay / South Bay travelers.
Diablo owners Craig & Yvonne Howard have been friends with Chris Michelmore for more than 7 years. During this time, Chris and Craig have worked together on competitions and many aspects of the CrossFit affiliate business. Not surprisingly, many aspects of our affiliates are similar, including our facilities (we used the same contractor), websites, classes, and even our memberships.
Craig & I have talked a lot about our visions for the future of Moxie. We both share the desire for our community to thrive. I’m confident that Craig & Yvonne are the right stewards for our shared vision. And, most importantly, Jen, Natalie and the Moxie coaching team will be here to make it happen.
Diablo will be communicating with you over the next couple weeks about their business, mission, values and goals. In the meantime, there are no changes. Burpees and thrusters remain.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact Jen or myself.
More About Diablo:
Diablo CrossFit is headquartered in Pleasant Hill and is one of the oldest CrossFit affiliates in the world – founded in 2005. The owners, Craig Howard and Yvonne Howard are passionate CrossFitters and Masters Games competitors. Diablo has two boxes, Pleasant Hill (16,000sf), Alamo, and they run a program & box for the City of Concord. While Diablo has a history steeped in competition, their community was built by staying true to their mission: to make people “fit beyond expectation.” If you ask Craig & Yvonne what makes their box successful, they’ll answer: “our coaches and our community.”
And, their boxes are pretty cool too. Diablo has more than 130 classes a week and open gym access all day in both facilities. In their Pleasant Hill location they have an Olympic Lifting room featuring Eleiko barbells. Both locations are open 7 days a week. Diablo’s membership base encompasses beginning to competitive athletes. It’s worth mentioning that earlier this year, Diablo launched a 6 Week Transformation Challenge program designed for women interested in transforming their lives through fitness and nutrition. Since May, Diablo has successfully graduated more than 100 women from Transformation Challenges – resulting in amazing physical and life changes. Many of the stories of positive life changes are inspiring for all of us.
